Peggy joins us after working since 2008 at Orchard Valley Waldorf School (OVWS), most recently serving as the Lead teacher for the Mixed-age Pre-K, where her responsibilities included leading and holding a class of up to 16 children, daily lesson planning of inside and outside curriculum, parent and faculty work, and providing a supportive environment for the cognitive, social, and emotional development of the young child. During her time at OVWS, Peggy was also a Nursery teacher and Parent-Child teacher.
After receiving a Master of Fine Arts and traveling throughout Europe, Asia, and West Africa, Peggy became a mother and entered her first Waldorf classroom. After initially being drawn to the beauty and light of Waldorf surroundings, she became inspired to become a teacher and has been working with children since 2005. Peggy enjoys creating handwork with little ones, exploring woods and fields, and especially delights in the joyful conversation of the young child. Creating deep relationships with the families in her care is an essential value that Peggy cultivates. Peggy's two adult children are Waldorf alums and have deep gratitude for their Waldorf education.
